The Giver
Jonas lives in a community.One where everyone makes no real choices.There are allot of rules that must be followed.One is keeping ribbons tied in your hair in till your nine .His dad is a nurturer someone who takes care of the babies.His mother is a lawyer or someone who keeps track of laws and stuff.He has a sister named Lily she is a seven.
Jonas will soon be in the next coming of age ceremony.His sister,Lily is very excited because she will be getting a bike of her very own.Jonas is not so excited.Because the next ceremony for him is of the twelves and that means being assigned a job to be followed through his entire life.
ReplyDeleteHis friends aren't so nervous but excited about being a twelve.After a while he settles down about it and is ok about one day being a twelve.After school one day Jonas thought he saw an apple have color so he took it home and played catch with it.Later he was scolded for it.
